The Assignment

• This painting is about love, passions of the heart, the joy of living, the simple things in life, and about the things in life that we, as humans, cannot see.  It's about the spiritual world, the physical world, and the interactions between them. In this example, the boy is totally unaware of anything but fishing and his dog. The dog is more in tune with nature and senses something, but cannot see it. In the spiritual realm, Christ is assigning an angel to be with the boy. I enjoyed showing the interaction of both worlds.
