Duane Allen (The Oak Ridge Boys)
Oil on Linen
48" x 36"
- To hear the best blend of voices in a male quartet, you need to hear The Oak Ridge Boys. As a matter of fact, they are not only great singers, they are special and humble men of God.
- They are compassionate, kind, and always willing to help others in need.
- They are very involved with Feed The Children Foundation feedthechildren.org and loving to all they meet. Its a pleasure to call them my brothers in Christ, and friends.
- Mr. Allen had formal training in both operatic and quartet singing before becoming a member of the Oaks in 1966.
- He is a superb businessman and is credited with keeping the Oaks on firm financial footing during their switch from Gospel to Country in the late 1970s. Duane also loves to find new music for the Oaks; consequently, he has recently taken on the role of co-producer.
- Mr. Allen is the lead singer for the Oak Ridge Boys and has a nice mellow and yet powerful voice. Its a treat for anyone to hear.
- Both on stage and off his presence shows true warmth and compassion.
- Check out the oakridgeboys.com web site and concert schedule to learn more about this legendary singing group.
- If you care to see the original oil painting of MR. Allen, it is exhibited at their theatre in Branson, MO.
