This is an image of actual people that Louis photographed and then developed into a composition to produce an oil painting from. The symbolization for the composition follows.

The woman with the children represents all adults in the world. Everyone of us have not only a responsibility, but a mandate from God to help children in any way we can.

The child on the woman’s back represents the weight of responsibility we have to care for children and the pure joy it is to love them.

The child standing and leaning into the woman represents the needs children have to be taken care of spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

The bricks on the ground represent broken families and the devastation of individual lives of children around the globe.

The flowers and butterflies represent new life and hope that we can give to children in need.

The big circle behind the woman represents the world and how we, as humans, affect it and its inhabitants.

The eagle in the big circle represents how we as humans have the ability to soar to great heights of compassion when we set our minds to it.

The dove coming out of the small circle represents the availability and presence of the Holy Spirit to comfort and assist those who believe and have a desire to help others.

The children in the background, most of whom will have no facial features in the painting, represent the countless children in the world who are the forgotten ones. They have no future….. They have no name….. If you will take a moment and place yourself into their minds, I believe your thoughts about their daily life and survival will take on a whole new meaning.

In the books of Mathew 19:4, Mark 10:14, and Luke 18:16 in the Bible, Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Friends, these Bible verses are not a suggestion. They are a call to action from God. When children’s basic needs are not met physically, mentally, and spiritually, they truly are hindered and devastated.

To hear the best blend of voices in a male quartet, you need to hear The Oak Ridge Boys. As a matter of fact, they are not only great singers, they are special and humble men of God.
They are compassionate, kind, and always willing to help others in need.
They are very involved with Feed The Children Foundation feedthechildren.org and loving to all they meet. Its a pleasure to call them my brothers in Christ, and friends.

When Mr. Bonsall comes on stage, and throughout any show the Oaks are performing in, he brings great joy to all. He lights up the stage and makes everyone in the audience smile and laugh. He is a treat to see and hear for sure!

Mr. Bonsall is an avid writer and songwriter. He became a published children’s book author in 1997, with The Molly Books , a four-book series published by Ideal’s Children’s Books. In 2003, New Leaf Press published G. I. Joe and Lillie: Remembering A Life of Love and Loyalty , an inspirational biography Joe penned about his parents.

His song by the same name was included in the Oaks’ Colors album, which was released the same year. Joe subsequently wrote the title song to The Journey album and the text for the Oaks’ coffee table book, An American Journey.

Check out the oakridgeboys.com web site and concert schedule to learn more about this legendary singing group.

If you care to see the original oil painting that I produced of MR. Bonsall, it is exhibited at their theater in Branson, MO.

Mr. Sterban sings base for the Oaks. I mean real base! His voice is truly amazing and a special gift from God. I enjoy hearing him sing, both on recordings and live.

He is a gentle and caring man who enjoys sharing the Scripture.

He also loves sports, especially baseball. For many years he has been an owner of the Nashville Sounds.

To hear the best blend of voices in a male quartet, you need to hear The Oak Ridge Boys. As a matter of fact, they are not only great singers, they are special and humble men of God.

Mr. Golden loves children and has written a book about Noah’s Arc called “Noah, Didn’t it Rain?," based on the Oaks’ Gospel hit, "Didn’t it Rain."

In my painting of Mr. Golden, I had a great time painting the whole portrait. The face, beard, leather jacket, pose and all the neat records around him were a real treat to paint as an artist.

Speaking of artists, I have a special friendship with Mr. Golden, because he is an artist also. He enjoys painting landscapes using acrylic paints. They are bright, cheerful and really fun to see. You can view some of his paintings at williamleegolden.com

William is very knowledgeable about past and present artists and their art. My guess is that he could carry on an extensive conversation with any art historian.

The Oak Ridge Boys travel extensively throughout the year, but that doesn’t stop Mr. Golden from painting. It’s very relaxing for him to set up a portable easel and paint wherever he happens to be.

Mr. Allen had formal training in both operatic and quartet singing before becoming a member of the Oaks in 1966.

He is a superb businessman and is credited with keeping the Oaks on firm financial footing during their switch from Gospel to Country in the late 1970s. Duane also loves to find new music for the Oaks; consequently, he has recently taken on the role of co-producer.

Mr. Allen is the lead singer for the Oak Ridge Boys and has a nice mellow and yet powerful voice. Its a treat for anyone to hear.

Both on stage and off his presence shows true warmth and compassion.
