I am a romantic at heart and really enjoyed painting the colors and emotions in this painting.

I did this portrait of Scott Hamilton shortly after his 1981 National Figure Skating Championship win. It is housed and exhibited at the National Figure Skating Hall Of fame in Colorado Springs, CO.

I saw these bear cubs climb to the top of a tree and just had to put it down on paper.

Lilac bushes are so beautiful and very fragrant as well. They are one of my favorite flowers. I painted this picture at a workshop that I gave in Elko, Nevada .

Every mother needs a break occasionally, right?! Oh yeah, and how about some food in here OK…!

I use to live in Santa Barbara, CA and was taken in by the flare of the Spanish Fiesta Days that was celebrated there every year. Being a romantic, I enjoy things like that.

I have always been delighted with the beauty of sunsets and Alaska has some great ones.

Everyone needs to take a little time out. I saw this horse resting on a hot day and could identify.

When I saw my model ease into this pose so naturally, I knew it was special. The pose, the warm colors, the emotion; it was all there. Beautiful!

When I look at this composition, it reminds me of the purity and innocence that all babies have.

This horse was up in years and in retirement, but, in my opinion, still had great beauty! Age does not deminish beauty. It is our hearts that make a big difference.

I saw this scene in Nevada. There is a mountain range there that is quite small, but makes up for it in beauty. The sun was almost setting and it created a lovely scene.

Alaska is a beautiful state when the sun shines. I like sunshine.

This mountain man image was produced, not with pastel, but with one stick of red cont’e and graphite. For the lighter values I left more of the white paper show through.
